DASNR International Student of the Week ...

This week’s DASNR international student of the week is Patty Gasparian. She is a physicist with an emphasis in Medical Physics from the Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Sao Paulo, Brazil. Currently she is enrolled in a Master's Degree program. Patty speaks Portuguese, English, some Italian and she is planning to learn Dutch (Flamish). She is interested in Oklahoma agriculture and wants to learn more about the rural areas of our state.

Patty is a member of the New Covenant Fellowship Church. In her free time she likes to cook out with friends, watch movies with her husband, listening to music, and online chat with her family in Brazil. She also enjoys traveling but she thinks she needs more free time to do it more often.

Patty came to the USA to do her Masters degree, improve English, and to have a good time with her husband who came with her, and make new friends from different nationalities. She chose OSU because she had been in Oklahoma as a high school exchange student and she loves it. In addition OSU has an expertise in her area of research, so she thinks there is no better place for her to learn.

Patty loves her whole family, especially her parents and grandparents, well she also loves her husband “no words to say, he is awesome” Patty said. Her future plans are to finish her Masters and then go for the PhD.
